Investigation Hotline Earns BBB Accreditation with A+ Rating

, |04/03/2026

After 38 years in business, Investigation Hotline has officially received BBB Accreditation from the Better Business Bureau — and we’ve earned an A+ rating.

BBB Accreditation is not automatic. Businesses must apply, meet the BBB’s Standards for Trust, and pass a review process before the designation is granted. For a private investigation firm, where clients are often navigating some of the most stressful situations of their lives, that kind of third-party verification matters.

What BBB Accreditation means

The BBB holds accredited businesses to eight principles: building trust, advertising honestly, telling the truth, being transparent, honouring promises, being responsive, safeguarding privacy, and embodying integrity. These aren’t abstract ideals; they’re commitments that get reviewed.

An A+ rating is the highest grade the BBB issues. It reflects our complaint history, time in business, licensing standing, and how we handle any issues that arise.

Why this matters for clients

People who hire a private investigator are rarely doing so on a whim. Whether it’s an infidelity concern, a corporate matter, a missing person, or a background check — the stakes are real. Choosing a BBB Accredited firm with a verified licence and an A+ rating means you have a baseline of accountability before you ever pick up the phone.

Mitchell Dubros, founder of Investigation Hotline, built this firm on the principle that clients deserve both professional results and ethical treatment. The BBB accreditation reflects that standard.
